Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist (Telecommunications) — 100% Remote

Position Overview

We are looking for a high-performing Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist for a 100% Remote position to lead enterprise reporting, executive dashboard creation, and data modeling initiatives across our telecommunications business units. You will be responsible for translating raw telecommunications data into intuitive visualizations, operational reports, and strategic dashboards that empower executive decision-making, while integrating modern AI capabilities into reporting environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Dashboard & Report Development: Design, build, and optimize enterprise-level dashboards, interactive scorecards, and ad-hoc reporting solutions using MicroStrategy and other BI tools.

• AI-Assisted Analytics: Leverage Generative AI and agentic tools to streamline report generation

• Data Mart & Semantic Layer Modeling: Build efficient semantic layers, metrics, hierarchies, and schema objects in MicroStrategy to serve diverse business reporting needs.

• SQL & Data Warehouse Engineering: Author, refine, and optimize complex SQL queries, views, and data marts within enterprise Teradata databases.

• Business Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Commercial, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Support leadership to define core Telecom KPIs

• Performance Tuning: Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks across queries, reports, and dashboards to ensure fast load times and reliable data access.

• Data Governance & Quality: Maintain documentation for reporting definitions, ensure data consistency across executive dashboards, and partner with Data Engineering on underlying schema improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related technical field.

• 5+ years of experience as a BI Developer, BI Analyst in enterprise data warehouse environments.

• Telecommunications Industry Experience: Strongly Preferred. Prior experience working with subscriber bases, telecom revenue streams, campaign analytics, and product/bundle performance metrics.

• Remote Work Capability: Ability to collaborate, communicate, and deliver results independently in a fully remote setup.

Technical Skills

• BI Platform: Strong hands-on experience with MicroStrategy is a distinct plus. Experience with power tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker is also valued.

• Generative AI & Agentic AI: Exposure to Generative AI tools, AI-assisted BI features, or integrating agentic workflows into reporting systems is a plus.

• Database & SQL Expertise: Deep expertise in Teradata database architecture, SQL query tuning, view creation, and data modeling.

• Cloud & Modern Data Stack: Familiarity with modern cloud analytics tools (e.g., Google BigQuery, SQL development on cloud warehouses) is an advantage.

• Business Acumen & Communication: Exceptional ability to bridge technical data architectures with business strategy and present actionable insights to stakeholders.
