Job Description Summary
Role Summary/Purpose:
A performance Instrumentation Engineering Specialist will be executing highly technical services on various gas turbine, steam turbine, and Combined cycle plant configurations. The successful execution of these global services will require that the Specialist adhere to internal processes while being open to challenges that may arise. Specialists are accountable for the quality our customers feel when purchasing our services. Areas of customer quality include accurate/timely documentation, appropriate/timely installation of instrumentation, accurate collection of field data, various site activities, and communications.
The position requires approximately 80% travel in 1-to-4-week intervals, to destinations around the world. ** This is an estimate; travel requirements vary, with peak outage seasons seeing higher percentages and peak demand seasons seeing less travel.

What you’ll bring
What you’ll do :
Associate or BS Engineering / Instrumentation Degree or 5 years’ related experience
Proficient understanding of power plant instrumentation, their operating/physics principles, calibration methods, installation requirements, operation, communications protocols, and troubleshooting.
Minimum of 4 years experience in the areas of power plant instrumentation used for thermal performance testing and evaluation of Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, or Combined Cycle Power Plants.
Lead instrumentation installation on low to medium complexity testing projects and support instrumentation installation on more complex testing campaigns.
Good interpersonal skills - may be required to lead an onsite installation team
Strong computer skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills to convey technical concepts to business leaders and customers.
Self-motivating/Self-starter capabilities, able to adapt to changing schedules and work issues to completion with use of work instruction and little to no supervisor support
Desire for continual improvement and skills development that impacts the quality of own work and the work of others
Collaborates with others and has autonomy to make decisions to solve issues
Willingness and ability to travel (approximately 80%) to both domestic and international power plant sites to provide new hire OJT, perform Quality Audits, in support of testing projects.
Fluent in English and French.
