Senior Material Engineer

An important company in the construction field is seeking a Senior Material Engineer who will be responsible for evaluating and selecting materials for construction projects, ensuring that they meet required standards and specifications. This role involves close coordination with the project teams to ensure the use of suitable materials throughout the project lifecycle.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review and approve material specifications and supplier selections.
• Identify and recommend suitable materials based on project requirements, cost, and performance.
• Conduct material testing and analysis to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Ensure that materials are used effectively and economically in projects.
• Provide technical advice on material-related issues.
• Stay updated on advancements in material science and implement innovative solutions.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and material certifications.
• Monitor and report on material inventory and procurement needs

Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.

Job Experience: Minimum 7 years of working experience, 4 years of relevant working experience.

Job Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of materials used in construction and their properties. Familiarity with industry standards and quality control procedures. Knowledge of casting, welding, heat treatment, and surface coating techniques. Ability to investigate material failures and recommend improvements.
