A leading food and beverage company based in Algeria, currently seeking an experienced Logistics Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage the inbound flow of containers (TCs) from origin to destination.

  • Ensure timely arrival and dispatch of containers in accordance with delivery schedules.

  • Coordinate with shipping lines and port operators for container status and movements.

  • Supervise and ensure smooth customs clearance processes for all incoming shipments.

  • Prepare and verify all necessary documentation for import declarations.

  • Stay updated on customs regulations and ensure full compliance to avoid delays or penalties.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for freight forwarders and third-party logistics providers.

  • Oversee booking, scheduling, and documentation of international shipments.

  • Resolve any logistical issues or delays with forwarders proactively.

  • Organize and monitor inland transport from ports to warehouses or final destinations.

  • Liaise with local transport companies to plan efficient delivery routes and schedules.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and environmental standards in road transport operations.

  • Track KPIs such as lead time, customs clearance time, and delivery accuracy.

  • Maintain accurate records of inbound shipments and transportation activities.

  • Prepare regular reports to management on logistics performance and cost analysis.

  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in inbound logistics.

  • Negotiate competitive rates with transport providers and forwarders.

  • Collaborate closely with procurement, warehousing, and planning teams.

  • Communicate proactively with suppliers regarding shipment readiness and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Procurement , preferably within a holding company or a fast-paced, multi-sector organization.
  • Master's degree from a business school or a related field.
  • Minimum 05 years experience in the field.
  • Minimum of 05 years of experience in a role related to procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and manage relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
