A leading food and beverage company based in Algeria, currently seeking an experienced :

Legal Manager – with focus on contracts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Drafting & Review: Prepare, review, and revise a wide range of contracts, including supply agreements, service contracts, financing documentation, shareholder agreements, NDAs, and government-related agreements.
  • Negotiations: Support commercial teams in negotiating contractual terms with counterparties, ensuring balanced and enforceable agreements.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify contractual risks and propose practical solutions and mitigation strategies.
  • Standardization: Develop and maintain standard contract templates, clause libraries, and contracting procedures.
  • Compliance: Ensure that contracts comply with applicable laws, company policies, financing obligations, and international trade requirements.
  • Contract Management: Maintain a contracts register, monitor key deadlines, and ensure timely renewals or terminations.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Provide guidance to procurement, finance, operations, and project teams on contractual matters.
  • External Counsel Coordination: Liaise with external law firms on specialized contractual issues when required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law; Master’s or specialization in Contract/Commercial Law preferred.
  • 5–8 years of legal experience, ideally with strong exposure to contracts in an in-house legal department or reputable law firm.
  • Demonstrated expertise in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, financing agreements, and cross-border transactions.
  • Solid knowledge of corporate and commercial law; familiarity with project finance or FIDIC contracts is an asset.
  • Excellent legal drafting and analytical skills in English, French and Arabic .
  • Ability to work independently under the supervision of the Legal Director.
  • High integrity, attention to detail, and professional judgment.
