The Senior Storekeeper is responsible for overseeing the management and operations of the store or warehouse facility. This role ensures accurate inventory control, organized storage, efficient issuance of materials, and compliance with safety and security standards.
The primary objective is to optimize inventory processes, minimize discrepancies, and support uninterrupted project operations through efficient store management.
Oversee receipt, storage, and issuance of goods with accurate record-keeping
Lead and supervise storekeeping staff, assign tasks, and monitor performance
Coordinate with procurement to maintain optimal stock levels
Organize and maintain storage spaces to maximize efficiency and accessibility
Implement quality control measures for incoming goods
Enforce warehouse safety and security procedures, including HSE compliance
Maintain accurate inventory reports and transaction records
Liaise with suppliers regarding deliveries, returns, and discrepancies
Ensure proper maintenance of storekeeping equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
Support HSE initiatives and align operations with company IMS policies
Strong expertise in inventory control, stock rotation, and cycle counting
Solid understanding of warehouse layout optimization and storage methods
Proven leadership and team management skills
High attention to detail and accuracy in record management
Strong communication and coordination skills
Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance standards
Minimum 5 years of overall working experience
At least 3 years of relevant storekeeping/warehouse experience
