This position will be responsible for coordinating and executing logistics operations in support of all Global Engineering Operations (GEO) activities across the globe. The incumbent will play a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient supply chain management, as well as providing support to engineering projects and other initiatives. This individual will have the opportunity to work closely with various departments within the organization, including procurement, finance, and human resources, to ensure seamless integration of logistics processes.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Manage the daily operations of the global logistics team, overseeing their workflows, allocating tasks, and monitoring performance metrics.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies for optimizing logistics processes, streamlining operations, and reducing costs.
3. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to international trade, customs clearance, and transportation regulations.
4. Develop relationships with key suppliers, carriers, and freight forwarders to negotiate favorable rates and service levels.
5. Implement best practices for inventory management, warehousing, and distribution to optimize supply chain efficiency.
6. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, shipment accuracy, and cost per unit to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
7. Provide leadership and guidance to the logistics team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
8. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies related to logistics and supply chain management, recommending appropriate solutions where applicable.
9. Assist in the development and implementation of new logistics systems or enhancements to existing systems.
10. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to logistics activities, including shipping manifests, bills of lading, and customs declarations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in managing logistics operations, preferably in a multinational corporation.
Strong knowledge of logistics processes, including import/export procedures, customs clearance, and transportation management.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
Demonstrated project management capabilities, with a focus on driving results and achieving timelines.
Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights to inform decision-making.
Fluency in English language, both written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Adaptability to changing business needs and willingness to learn new systems and tools.
Detail-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
