Job Title: Warehouse Manager – Salvo Grima Duty Free Algeria
Location: Algiers (with frequent travel to other locations within Algeria)
Languages: Fluent English, French & Arabic

Salvo Grima Group operates in eight countries in Europe and Africa, specialising in international trade and travel retail. We supply and operate several Travel Retail Duty-Free outlets at international airports and cruise ports across the Mediterranean region, including airports in Algiers and other locations in North Algeria. Our product range includes skincare, tobaccos, liquors, and more.
Role Summary:
Our Group is due to launch a new set of duty-free outlets at airports in Algeria and therefore requires an experienced and strategic Warehouse Manager. The ideal candidate would be a highly organised and driven individual with strong organisational skills and will be responsible all aspects covering in-bound logistics, warehouse operations and transport to third party contracts.
Ensuring compliance with all local legislation and airport requirements, especially security and health & safety, is a key priority. The ability to work additional or flexible hours and to travel to other locations in Algeria at short notice is essential.
Key Responsibilities
· Define optimal replenishment frequency by shop and organize and plan physical inventories;
· Supervision of warehouse personnel, ensuring that health and work security requirements are met by all workers;
· Staff planning in order to cover special needs on delivery days and strong sales days;
· Coordinate all inventory control processes through regular updates from subordinates and reviews of inventory reports;
· Communicate inventory status and activities to the Shop Manager and other staff;
· Initiate reorder procedures as well as elimination of stock;
· Monitor the correct receiving of goods and inform logistic assistants in case of discrepancies;
· Make sure that every item moved to the shops can be scanned at tills monitor transfer order process;
· Control expiring date and ensure efficient stock rotation;
· Organize and maintain warehouse in an efficient and proper way
· Communicate with local custom authorities;
· Make sure damaged and defective goods are processed in a timely, accurate manner;
· Assist in protecting company assets through promoting awareness of loss prevention;
· Ensure the understanding and adherence to standard policies and procedures of the Supply Chain Community;
· Manage the performance of the country warehouse (Quality; Productivity; Cost)
· Plan and coordinate the activities at warehouse: Reception and put away, picking and packing and dispatch;
· Assure the accuracy of the physical inventory with the system inventory at item level;
· Ensure Reception of goods: Discrepancies. return and destruction to local vendors;
