Job Title: Finance Officer – Salvo Grima Duty Free Algeria
Location: Algiers (with frequent travel to other locations within Algeria)
Languages: Fluent English, French & Arabic

Salvo Grima Group operates in eight countries in Europe and Africa, specialising in international trade and travel retail. We supply and operate several Travel Retail Duty-Free outlets at airports and cruise ports across the Mediterranean region, including airports in Algiers and Oran. Our product range includes skincare, tobaccos, liquors, and more.
Role Summary:
The Finance Officer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth financial operations of our duty-free shop. This position will oversee basic finance and accounting tasks, manage our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, handle purchase invoices, and ensure the general efficiency of our daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Record and maintain financial transactions such as invoices, payments, and expenses;
· Perform reconciliations of financial records, including bank accounts and cash balances;
· Work with auditors, providing required documentation and support;
· Oversee vendor relationships and ensure timely processing of payments;
· Manage the entire accounts receivable process, including payments, invoicing, debtor control, and follow-up of overdue receivable;
· Assist the Finance Manager/Head of Finance in preparing monthly closings;
· Reconcile daily cash sales and deposit reports.
· Issuance of VAT report
· Vendor statement reconciliation and preparation of payments
· Regularly update and maintain data in the ERP system such as product pricing, vendor details, and other relevant data.
· Regularly liaise with the management team in Malta to provide updates and address concerns.
· Continually seek opportunities to improve processes and implement best practices.
· Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and duty free shop standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Fluency in English, French and Arabic is essential for this role;
· Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
