Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee fleet operations in Algeria, with a strong focus on Journey Management Planning (JMP), Safety Compliance, and Operational Efficiency. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing fleet safety, optimizing routes, and ensuring adherence to Algerian transport regulations and oil & gas industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Journey Management Plans (JMP) to ensure the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and personnel within Algeria.
- Oversee fleet operations, ensuring compliance with HSE regulations, IOGP standards, and local transport laws.
- Optimize route planning, vehicle utilization, and driver assignments to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Monitor driver behavior, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance, ensuring full compliance with safety standards.
- Implement telematics and AI-driven fleet management solutions for real-time tracking and data-driven decision-making.
- Coordinate with EHS, Transportation, and Procurement departments to align fleet operations with company objectives.
- Lead and train a team of drivers and fleet coordinators on safe driving practices and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure the proper maintenance and servicing of vehicles to minimize downtime and enhance asset longevity.
- Analyze fleet data and generate reports to assess performance, identify risks, and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors, fuel card providers, and maintenance partners to ensure seamless fleet operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory with extensive experience).
- 5+ years of experience in fleet management, transportation logistics, or oil & gas operations in Algeria.
- Strong understanding of Journey Management Planning (JMP), IOGP standards, and Algerian HSE regulations.
- Experience with fleet telematics, GPS tracking, and AI-based safety monitoring systems.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to analyze data, optimize routes, and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience working in high-risk environments such as oil & gas fields, mining, or heavy-duty transportation in Algeria is a plus.
