Tasks and Responsibilities

The IT Engineer is responsible for development and execution of Electronic Data Panel.

This role is critical to ensure

· delivery of correct quality data, on time, continuously

· optimizing collection processes while guaranteeing continuity from the same stores

· expanding the panel to the new stores in defined geographies and store types, via the below defined three methods: conversion, recruitment, data provider.

Prioritization of location, type and number of stores will be communicated by management based on statistical needs.

1. Conversion from Manual to Electronic Data Panel

Improvement of data quality and simplification of data collection by converting the existing manual panel into an electronic data collection system. To achieve this, the IT Engineer must :

• Conduct field visits to persuade current panel store owners to adopt and switch to the electronic system.
• Train field teams and select store owners on extracting data from the Point of Sale (POS) software and transmitting it online.
• Provide technical support in the field when necessary.

2. Recruitment of Electronic Data Panel

Recruitment of stores by visiting new retail outlets and agreeing for monthly delivery of information on available products, sales, purchases, pricing on barcode level, and any other relevant data for analysis.

· It is critical that these stores are recruited for continuous data delivery, i.e. correct full data, on time, continuously every month.

3. Establishing Cooperation with Data Providers

Identify and recruit new data providers and software developers to automate data collection from POS systems or provider databases to the RetailZoom server.

• Work with partners to align data file formats (CSV, JSON, SQL, XML) with RZ’s technical requirements
• Ensure the quality, continuity and stability of data transmitted online by data providers.

Required Skills

• Technical:
  • Expertise in Point-of-Sale (POS) system and data base management.
  • Ability to decrypt and convert different file formats (CSV, JSON, MySQL, XML, etc.).

· Interpersonal:

• Strong communication skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical teams.
• Negotiation skills and ability to represent the company to partners.

· Operational:

• Ability to train and support users (field teams, store owners).
• Availability to travel nationally as required.
