Ingénieur Métrologie et Calibration

Required Profile:

• Education Level: Master’s degree or Engineering degree (Bac +5) in one of the following fields: Biology, Process Engineering, Chemistry, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.

• Ability to work effectively in a team.

• Strong analytical and synthesis skills.

• Proficiency in French (spoken and written).

• Knowledge of English is desirable

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensure the management, monitoring, and compliance of the measurement and control instruments fleet in accordance with regulatory requirements (GMP, ISO, pharmacopoeias).

• Prepare and ensure the good documentation practices related to Engineering department ( Maintenance plan , SOPs , projects plan, etc... ) 

• Manage the Engineering and Spare parts and related equipment inventory. 

• Coordinate, plan, and supervise internal and external calibration activities.

• Monitor calibration schedules.

• Draft procedures, protocols, and reports related to calibrations.

• Review calibration protocols and reports issued by external service providers.

• Manage external calibration service providers.

• Review and approve calibration certificates.

• Identify drifts and out-of-tolerance measurement instruments.

• Assess the impact of non-compliant equipment on products and processes.

• Participate in investigations (deviations, OOS, OOT).

• Propose and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

• Prepare and participate in internal and external audits.

• Optimize calibration frequencies using a risk-based approach.

• Establish metrology performance indicators (KPIs).

Experience:

• 2 to 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical metrology (similar position).

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of metrology principles (uncertainty, calibration, traceability).

• Familiarity with GMP and ISO standards (especially ISO 17025).

• Knowledge of instruments (balances, HPLC, temperature probes, pressure, humidity, etc.).

• Good command of IT tools (Excel, CMMS/software management tools).
