Customs Clearance Manager

Job Summary :

•We are seeking an experienced Customs Clearance Manager to oversee and manage all customs clearance activities for import and export operations, and advice and assist all our partners on their process.

The role ensures full compliance with customs regulations, timely cargo release, and optimization of clearance costs while minimizing risks and delays.

 Key Responsibilities :

•Manage end-to-end customs clearance processes for imports and exports.

•Reporting timely customs clearance process and status of all import/export related.

•Ensure compliance with national and international customs regulations.

•Coordinate with customs authorities, freight forwarders, brokers, and internal teams.

•Supervise preparation and accuracy of customs documentation (invoices, packing lists, COO, HS codes, valuation, etc.).

•Monitor and optimize customs duties, taxes, and clearance costs.

•Resolve customs issues, inspections, disputes, and penalties.

•Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure operational compliance.

•Build an efficient national customs clearance platform to support smooth daily business operations and ensure project delivery and audit response (self-import audit).

•Implement process improvements to reduce clearance time and operational risks.

Requirements :

•Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain, or related field.

•Minimum 5 years of experience in customs clearance.

•Strong knowledge of customs laws, tariff classification, and valuation.

•Experience working with customs, government (MPTTN, ARPCE, ONDA, ONML,…) authorities and licensed brokers,

•Good understanding of Incoterms, customs declaration details and international shipping procedures

•Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills,

•Proficiency in customs clearance systems (SIGAD)

•Excellent communication skills in English Arabic and French

Preferred Qualifications :

•Having   a customs clearance agents ‘Declarant’ Certificate  

•Background in telecom, or large-scale import operations preferably Multinational companies
