Halkorb RH is recruiting for The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Algiers is a full-time personal assistant to the Ambassador, starting October 2026. We are looking for a trustworthy person who is organized, safety and security conscious and will represent Norway with a professional approach.
Duties and responsibilities
- Manage the Ambassador’s calendar, coordinate appointments and meetings, and ensure the effective prioritization of time and responsibilities.
- Handle correspondence, invitations, and inquiries, ensuring professional, accurate, and timely follow-up.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support, including travel arrangements, document management, record keeping, and contact database maintenance.
- Organize meetings and events, prepare agendas and briefing materials, and follow up on agreed actions when required.
- Serve as a key liaison between the Ambassador, embassy sections, external stakeholders, and visitors to the mission.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism.
- Perform other administrative duties as required and provide support to diplomatic staff posted at the Embassy.
Qualifications
- Preferably minimum 3 years' work experience in a relevant field
- Higher education studies in administrative/office-related fields or proven and relevant work experience.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office and other digital platforms
- Fluency in English, French and Arabic, both written and oral
- Good knowledge of the diplomatic environment
- Work experience from an international working environment within service and/or office administration is an advantage
- Knowledge of Norwegian or other Scandinavian languages is considered an asset

Terms and conditions
- Working hours from 08:30-16:00, 37,5 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday
- There will occasionally be a requirement to perform extra hours due to Embassy activity during evenings and weekends. Extra hours will be compensated accordingly to Algerian Law
- Trial period of 6 months
- Taxable to Algeria
- Membership CNAS
