Halkorb RH seeks on behalf of its customer, a multinational company in food and retail sector, a Packaging Manager

Responsabilities:

  • Supervises the day-to-day operations of packaging to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Manage the manufacturing & supplying of cans and bottles to achieve production plan.
  • Verify and ensure that all equipment is accurate & precise to reduce the machinery breakdown.
  • Develop, monitor & lead his staff to execute the preventive and corrective maintenance plans of all tin can & PET bottling making equipment that will assure equipment are always running smooth in highly efficient.
  • Develop the training needs for his department staff to increase the staff Knowledge & experience.
  • Manage safety instructions for his area to reduce risk and make good ambience for packaging staff.
  • Ensure that all activities are monitored, and regulatory compliance audits and inspections are conducted for an effective implementation of regulatory standards.
  • Lead the implementation of innovation projects to ensure that the project cycle is completed, meeting agreed project parameters (cost budget, timelines, scope, and quality), standards and objectives.
  • Lead all packaging development projects in different products categories (innovations- renovations- quality improvement).
  • Lead packaging resources and direct packaging suppliers.
  • Co-lead supplier conceptualization with the procurement team to fuel the Value Engineering pipeline and partner with marketing on fueling the innovation pipeline.
  • Improve the quality- cost- and operational efficiency of existing packaging technologies.
  • Partner with central teams on how to find new technology enablers that fit our SFC roadmap but also fit our regional requirements.
  • Identify direct cost-saving initiatives related to packaging materials and act as SPOC.
  • Co-design and implement with CAPEX team new packaging lines design and implementation in the region as well as pilot filling lines (starting from packaging line design up to technical drawings).
  • Supervise the preparation of timely and accurate logbooks, DDS sheets to meet Savola and department requirements, policies, and standards.
  • Manage packaging processes at the co-packer and direct packaging suppliers.
  • Develop operations strategy in line with the BU’s strategy to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing strategies across product supply.
  • Develop the Packaging & Filling Innovation Projects AOP within his BU context and lead the communication to his teams.
  • Assure all resources availability “raw material, spare parts, Bil of material, etc..” at the co-packer to maintain processes and delivery plans.
  • Develop operations strategy in line with the BU’s strategy to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing strategies across product supply.
  • Develop the Packaging & Filling Innovation Projects AOP within his BU context and lead the communication to his teams.
  • Ensure that all concerned reports of Packaging & Filling Innovation Projects are prepared timely and accurately and meet BU requirements, policies, and standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with preferably in mechanical.
  • 8-10 years relevant experience in Packaging including at least 4 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities.
