Company Overview

ECCBC Algeria, the official bottler of The Coca-Cola Company, plays a leading role in the local production, marketing, and distribution of a wide portfolio of over 90 beverage products across renowned brands such as Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite, Schweppes, and Minute Maid.

With more than 30 years of presence in Algeria, Fruital SPA has progressively expanded its operations to the Oran and Skikda regions. A major milestone was achieved in 2022 with the integration of the SBOA and SBC plants, enabling ECCBC Algeria to strengthen its industrial footprint through three manufacturing facilities and 14 production lines.

Today, the company serves over 15 million consumers and supplies 87,000 points of sale nationwide, executing more than one million transactions annually. ECCBC Algeria employs over 1,900 direct staff and supports approximately 19,300 indirect jobs across the country

Job Mission

Represent ECCBC in Algeria as an extended CoDir member in public relations and external matters based on the establishment and maintenance of engaging relationships with relevant stakeholders (community representatives, NGOs, Coca Cola , public interest groups and institutions). Strengthen our reputation with consistent and coherent communication. And execute the Group’s sustainability strategy ensuring achievement of targets in collaboration with all departments. In short, maximize the value of our license to operate in the country and contribute to a more sustainable ECCBC going forward.

Responsibilities

> Embrace and execute sustainability strategy, defining local action plans; tracking improvement, etc. with focus on recycling, water and empowerment.

> Research and track all relevant information (industries, trends) through the different media outlets and compile respective communication reports. In short, monitor the way our brand is perceived with respect to the competition.

> Identify and manage external stakeholders; pinpoint and work on areas of improvement, developing a commitment plan for them and in general building relationships that consolidate ECCBC as a key and proactive agent.

> Coordinate with the Group and Coca Cola external corporate communication with stakeholders and media.

> Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with representatives of the Algerian community, customers, employees and public interest groups in each of our countries by running social activities valued by the community.

> Identify sales barriers, develop a risk map and implement an action plan to mitigate, eliminate or control barriers.

> Monitor and report public affairs matters using Group’s tools and established routines of work.

Requirements & Qualifications

> More than 5 years in a similar position with experience in Public Affairs & Corporate Communication

> Experience in managing public relations and communications for major companies, preferably in a multinational, multicultural and mass consumption environment. International and multicultural exposure.

> University graduate. A postgraduate degree, MBA or similar would be an advantage.

> Very good knowledge of the media (including digital media) and the external communication sector.

> In-depth knowledge of the beverages market and business and the most important sector players in Algeria.

> Knowledge of sustainability project planning.

> Must have excellent negotiation skills and a deft touch, as the position involves engaging with stakeholders and improving relations with governments.

> Must be used to working on large-scale optimization plans for successful brands.

> Command or very high level of at least: English, French and Arabic.

> Command of Microsoft Office or similar, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
