eTalent is recruiting a Technical Manager for one of its clients
Job purpose :
The Technical Manager:
- Guarantees the manufacturing of bread improvers and packing of dry yeasts, in accordance with customer requirements (quality, food safety, lead time).
- Optimizes production costs and industrial equipment while complying with safety regulations, staff working conditions and environmental standards.
Key area of responsibilities :
Production Management :
- Establishes daily production forecasts based on quantitative production targets.
- Organizes production orders.
- Guarantees the availability, conformity and safety of manufactured products.
- Ensures and controls the monitoring of external services, including the providers of maintenance, metrological services for scales and pest control.
- Ensures the traceability of the entire chain, from raw materials to the final product.
- Guarantees compliance with Good Hygiene Practices and the cleaning plan.
- Develops dashboards for monitoring production, finished products and raw materials and analyses them regularly,
- Ensures the monitoring of the consumption of ingredients in compliance with the technical ratios established in the budget and investigates the causes of any discrepancies. Implements corrective actions.
Maintenance :
- Ensures that industrial equipment and buildings remain in good working conditions.
- Validates the maintenance intervention plans carried out through an external company.
- Monitors cost of maintenance.
Management :
- Supervises and animates production, maintenance team (briefing meetings, validate production planning...).
- Participates in recruitment, support and training, conducts annual interviews of the production team.
- Validates the production team organization (daily, weekly, monthly) propose by team leaders.
- Releases information on the field and in meetings with operators in terms of quality, safety and results.
- Makes a feedback of team wishes concerning internal mobility, professional development, training and professional project.
- Reports to the General Manager the team functioning (in reference to the internal regulations, calling into question the company reputation or the achievement of the fixed objectives).
- Manages the process engineer, maintenance responsible, production team leaders (Annual interview, feed backs, salary review,….).
Investment/Budget :
- Proposes and presents to the General Manager technical investment projects for the improvement of production processes and organization.
- Proposes the operating budget (production, maintenance) and monitors it within the limit of the allocated amount.
- Implements the selected projects, in liaison with the MEA Industrial Department.
Reporting :
- Ensures the feedback of data and comments for the month-end closing (production, safety, quality, purchase etc.) and upon request of its hierarchy.
- Set-up a weekly reporting to the General Manager including Production Plan, RM Stocks, Team planning, etc.
Lean :
- Proposes and studies improvement actions (quality, food safety, productivity, reliability, health and safety on site).
Quality, Health, and Safety :
- Implement safety culture within the production team and workshop in direct collaboration with the QHSE manager.
- Ensuring required standards of health and safety are always maintained in the production area.
- Following up a Health & Safety Reporting with KPI’s.
- Following up the Site security with the external company.
- Guarantying the availability of the results of controls, measurements and tests.
- Being involved in the choice of raw materials suppliers.
- Ensuring that product recipes are in accordance with the formulas.
- Ensuring that non-conformities and customer complaints are dealt with.
Knowledge & Education level
Education :
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in food processing/ agro-industrial technology or a similar field.
- Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in management or business administration or similar field is a bonus.
- Knowledge on bakery products and competitors
Required level of experience :
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in production or industry.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in management.

- Using the equipment and tools in your workshop, applying the rules of food safety and hygiene.
- Fluent in Arabic, French and English.
