Senior Geophysicist – Algiers, Algeria

We are looking to hire a Senior Geophysicist to support and sustain our current and future projects in Algeria. This is an exciting opportunity for a mid-career professional to contribute to high-impact subsurface evaluation work in a dynamic environment.

Algiers, Algeria (with occasional travel to field locations across the country)

Role Overview

The Senior Geophysicist will play a key role in seismic data processing and interpretation, supporting reservoir characterization and subsurface imaging activities. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and a collaborative mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee seismic data processing workflows

• Analyze and interpret seismic data to support exploration and development activities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including geologists and reservoir engineers

• Contribute to reservoir characterization and subsurface modeling

• Ensure data quality and consistency across projects

• Support field operations and data acquisition when required

Qualifications & Experience

• Master’s degree in Geophysics, Earth Sciences, or a related field

• Minimum 5 years of experience in seismic processing

• Hands-on experience with seismic processing software such as Omega, Petrel, or equivalent tools

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Knowledge of reservoir characterization and seismic interpretation is an advantage

• Willingness to travel to field locations within Algeria as required
