These responsibilities combine procurement category leadership standards with livestock‑specific procurement duties:
Develop and execute category strategies covering livestock, feed, veterinary supplies, vaccines, and animal‑health products.

Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and governance frameworks.
Identify, qualify, and manage livestock and animal‑health suppliers; maintain long‑term strategic partnerships.

Monitor livestock market trends, pricing dynamics, animal health regulations, seasonal supply risks, and market intelligence to guide procurement decisions.
Ensure all procured livestock and animal‑health products meet quality standards, welfare requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
Conduct supplier audits, health inspections, and compliance verifications for livestock and veterinary goods.
Negotiate contracts, pricing models, long‑term supply agreements, and framework contracts across categories.

5–10 years of procurement experience, ideally in agriculture, livestock sourcing, veterinary products, or food production supply chains.

Proven experience in category management, supplier negotiations, and strategic sourcing.
Experience managing complex, regulated supply categories (animal health, feed, veterinary pharmaceuticals).
Background in logistics, farm operations, livestock trading, or veterinary procurement is preferred.
Technical Skills
Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier‑relationship management skills.
Ability to analyze market data (livestock prices, veterinary product trends, feed costs, etc.).
Familiarity with procurement systems and ERP tools.
Understanding of animal welfare regulations and veterinary compliance frameworks.
