The IT Business Partner – SAP MM & EWM serves as the liaison between the IT department and the Supply Chain, Procurement, Warehousing and Logistics business units, aligning IT strategies and initiatives with business goals and objectives. The role holder collaborates closely with business leaders in Procurement, Inventory Control, Warehouse Operations and Production Planning to understand their needs, challenges and priorities, and translates them into SAP S/4HANA solutions and projects.
The IT Business Partner provides strategic guidance and advice to business stakeholders on how SAP Materials Management (MM) and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) capabilities can support and enhance sourcing, procure-to-pay, inventory, batch traceability and warehouse execution processes. The role also facilitates communication and collaboration between IT teams, external implementation partners and business units to ensure the successful delivery of IT projects and services across all Company sites and geographies.
Job Responsibilities :
Implement, configure and support SAP MM and EWM solutions, including end-user training, documentation and post go-live hypercare.
Perform business process re-engineering, GAP analysis and workarounds across procure-to-pay, inventory management, goods movement and warehouse execution processes.
Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the Company's requirements and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals and improve supply chain performance.
Provide expertise and address L2/L3 support for SAP MM and EWM in the assigned business functions, including master data, movement types, output determination and warehouse task/order processing.
Provide L1 technical support during implementations, rollouts and stabilization periods.
Conduct UAT, obtain sign-offs and prepare cutover, stock migration and go-live plans for all MM and EWM implementations.
Monitor support issue resolution in line with agreed timelines and SLAs, and drive root-cause elimination for recurring incidents.
Prepare reports as required by senior management and circulate them with stakeholders.
Provide and extract information and analytics from SAP systems for management on a need basis, including stock ageing, slow-moving inventory, GR/IR and warehouse productivity reporting.
Identify and incorporate best practices and lessons learned into program plans.
Conduct needs assessments and assist group companies in developing and deploying best business strategies, project planning and co-ordination, change management and project risk management.
Initialize projects, review quality control, system implementation control and documentation.
Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
Configure and maintain purchasing documents, release strategies, source lists, quota arrangements, info records, outline agreements, service procurement and pricing/condition schemas.
Support inventory management processes: goods receipt, goods issue, transfer postings, subcontracting, consignment, stock transport orders and inter-company movements across plants and countries.
Manage material master governance, material types, valuation classes, split valuation and account determination in coordination with Finance and Controlling.
Support MRP and requirements planning configuration, including planning strategies, lot-sizing, safety stock, reorder points and MRP exception handling.
Support physical inventory, cycle counting, revaluation, batch management, shelf-life expiration date (SLED) and traceability requirements in line with food safety and quality standards.
SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)
Configure warehouse structure: warehouse numbers, storage types, sections, bins, activity areas, doors, staging areas and work centres.
Design and maintain inbound processes (unloading, deconsolidation, putaway strategies, quality inspection) and outbound processes (wave management, picking, packing, staging, loading, shipping).
Configure internal warehouse processes including replenishment, posting changes, ad-hoc movements, stock transfers, physical inventory and slotting/rearrangement.
Implement storage control, handling unit management, packaging specifications, warehouse order creation rules and task/resource management.
Configure FEFO and batch-driven picking strategies to support shelf-life-sensitive finished goods, raw materials and packaging.
Deploy and support RF/mobile handheld transactions, barcode and label design, printers and the RF framework used by warehouse operators.
Manage labour management, yard management and, where applicable, Material Flow System (MFS) interfaces to automated storage and conveyor equipment.
Ensure correct integration between EWM and MM, SD, PP/PP-DS, QM, TM and EH&S, including delivery document flow, queue monitoring (qRFC/CIF) and error handling.
Support decentralized and embedded EWM deployment decisions, and coordinate warehouse cutover, bin build, stock upload and reconciliation activities.
Job Experience
Minimum 8 year(s) working experience, 5 year(s) relevant working experience in SAP MM and EWM, 2 year(s) GCC is a plus.
At least two full-cycle SAP implementations or rollouts with hands-on responsibility for MM and/or EWM workstreams.
Experience in a manufacturing, food processing, dairy or FMCG environment with high-volume, shelf-life-sensitive inventory is strongly preferred.
Experience supporting multi-site and multi-country operations, including greenfield warehouse start-ups, is an advantage.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
SAP certification in MM and/or EWM (S/4HANA) is preferred.
Professional certification in supply chain or project management (CSCP, CPIM, PMP, PRINCE2) is an advantage.
