Role Overview :

The Insurance Manager will lead our insurance operations and risk management strategies. In this critical role, he/she will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing insurance policies, ensuring compliance with agriculture, farming and production regulations, and optimizing our insurance portfolio to mitigate risks effectively.

            Main Responsibilities  : 

• Oversee the development and implementation of insurance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Manage relationships with insurance providers, brokers, and underwriters to secure optimal coverage and negotiate favorable terms.
• Analyze risk exposure and assess insurance needs across the organization to develop appropriate coverage strategies.
• Conduct regular audits of insurance policies and compliance checks to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with senior management to align insurance strategies with organizational goals and objectives.
• Develop and deliver training programs for staff on insurance policies, procedures, and risk management.
• Monitor industry trends and changes in legislation affecting insurance policies and practices.   

            Education & Certifications  : 

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in insurance management, underwriting, or risk assessment.
• Strong knowledge of insurance products, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Proven track record of negotiating and managing insurance contracts.   

            Preferred:

• Professional certification such as Associate in Risk Management (ARM) is a plus.
• Experience in the insurance sector, particularly within agriculture and farming, is highly appreciated.
• Familiarity with insurance software and analytical tools.

            Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies  : 

• Proficiency in insurance management software and data analysis tools.
• Strong analytical skills to assess risk and develop mitigation strategies.
• Experience with financial modeling and the ability to interpret complex data.
