Role Overview :
The Fixed Assets Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management, control, and reporting of the company’s fixed assets. The role ensures accurate capitalization, depreciation, compliance with accounting standards, and strong internal controls over capital expenditures and fixed asset lifecycle management, while supporting business and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Fixed Assets Governance & Internal Control
Establish, implement, and continuously improve policies, procedures, and internal controls related to fixed assets.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Strengthen governance over the full fixed asset lifecycle: acquisition, capitalization, depreciation, transfer, impairment, and disposal.
2. Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) Management
Monitor and control capital expenditures against approved budgets.
Ensure timely and accurate capitalization of assets in line with project completion milestones.
Partner with project, engineering, and procurement teams to validate asset readiness and capitalization criteria.
3. Project Cost Capitalization
Accumulate, review, and analyze project-related costs within SAP Project System.
Capitalize eligible costs into fixed asset accounts and close projects upon completion.
Ensure correct asset classification, useful life assignment, and depreciation methods.
4. Accounting, Reporting & Reconciliations
Record all fixed asset transactions including acquisitions, disposals, transfers, impairments, and retirements in SAP.
Calculate and post depreciation and amortization in accordance with accounting standards.
Perform detailed reconciliations between the fixed assets sub-ledger and the general ledger, investigating and resolving variances.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
5. Physical Verification & Asset Tracking
Oversee the assignment of asset identification tags and asset master data accuracy.
Plan and conduct periodic physical inventories of fixed assets.
Investigate discrepancies between physical counts and accounting records and recommend corrective actions.
6. Audit, Compliance & Tax
Prepare comprehensive documentation for internal and external audits.
Act as the main point of contact for auditors regarding fixed assets matters.
Ensure timely resolution of audit findings and implementation of corrective actions.
Prepare property tax filings and regulatory reports, where applicable.
7. Stakeholder Collaboration & Advisory Role
Work closely with engineering, projects, procurement, finance, and operations teams to ensure alignment on asset management.
Provide technical accounting guidance on capitalization policies and asset treatment.
Support management with financial analysis and insights related to capital investments.

· SAP experience in Fixed Asset module and Project system is must.
· Advanced computer skills on MS office and accounting software.
Language Requirements :
Strong command of English, enabling effective communication with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
