Join Baladna El Djazaier – Building the Future of Agriculture & Dairy in Algeria

The COO Assistant will provide high-level administrative, operational, and logistical support to the Chief Operating Officer. This role requires strong organizational skills, adaptability, discretion, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The COO Assistant will also accompany the COO on field visits and ensure all necessary arrangements are properly handled.
1. Key Responsibilities by Area of Activity:
A. Administrative & Executive Support
• Manage the COO’s agenda, schedule meetings, and organize appointments.
• Prepare, format, and proofread PowerPoint presentations, reports, and documentation.
• Draft emails, memos, and official communications.
• Maintain organized filing systems and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Coordinate follow-ups on action points and pending tasks.
B. Operational & Field Coordination
• Accompany the COO to field sites when required.
• Ensure all logistical arrangements for field visits: transportation, documentation, safety requirements, accommodation, and equipment.
• Prepare briefs, collect data, and assist the COO during on-site assessments.
• Ensure smooth communication between field teams and the COO's office.
C. Logistics & Travel Management
• Coordinate travel arrangements between Algiers and Adrar or other destinations (flights, accommodation, transport).
• Prepare travel itineraries and ensure readiness of all required documents.
• Handle expense reports and travel-related administrative tasks.
D. Office & Task Management
• Organize internal meetings, prepare minutes, and track follow-up actions.
• Manage administrative procedures and maintain coordination with internal departments.
• Support the COO in prioritizing tasks and managing deadlines.
3. Required Skills & Competencies
• Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• High attention to detail; rigorous and meticulous.
• Strong sense of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism.
• Ability to adapt to different working environments and changing priorities.
• Reactivity and ability to manage urgent matters efficiently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt and interact effectively with all levels of staff — from entry-level operators to senior directors.
• Flexibility regarding work hours and travel.
4. Education & Languages
• Bachelor’s degree (BAC+3) or higher in Administration, Management, Business, Languages, or related fields.
• Excellent proficiency in English and French (written and spoken).
5. Work Conditions
• Position based between Algiers and Adrar, with frequent travel.
• Dynamic work environment requiring field presence and operational flexibility.
