The Royal Danish Embassy in Algiers is seeking to recruit a flexible and dynamic Administrative & Consular Assistant.
You will be working in our Admin-Consular team of four employees comprised of our Deputy Head of Mission, Vice-Consul, PA to the ambassador & Administrative officer as well as this position of Administrative & Consular Assistant. The main tasks of the Admin-Consular Team lie within the administration of the embassy and official residences, consular services and logistics. As Administrative & Consular Assistant, you will be responsible for various tasks listed below. You are, however, expected to show the flexibility required for an optimal handling of the portfolio of the team and thus be ready to cover for colleagues during absences and to support colleagues in times of higher work pressure. The tasks to be performed may develop over time, and new tasks may be added to the job.
Main tasks and responsibilities as Administrative & Consular Assistant include, but are not limited to:
We are looking for:
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in English and French. Arabic an advantage.
A high degree of multi-tasking and time management capability
Working experience of related administrative work
Experience from a diplomatic mission/international organisation is an advantage
Experience/good understanding of working in a multi-cultural setting
Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Package (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Educational level: minimum Bachelors level
